
David L. Winstead, Esq.
David L. Winstead is a Senior Advisor at Saban Real Estate, bringing extensive leadership experience from both the private and public sectors. In this role, Mr. Winstead leverages his expertise in infrastructure projects, real estate transactions, public-private partnerships, and regulatory matters to support the company’s strategic initiatives.
Previously, Mr. Winstead served as U.S. Public Buildings Commissioner under President George W. Bush, overseeing a portfolio of 1,500 federal buildings and 190 million square feet of leased space, accommodating over one million federal workers. His public service also includes his tenure as Secretary of the Maryland Department of Transportation, and he was elected President of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) by his peers.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Winstead held senior roles at prominent Washington, D.C., law firms, focusing on client and business development in real estate, transportation, and construction. He also served as Executive Director of the Washington/Baltimore Regional Association.
Mr. Winstead holds a Juris Doctor, a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.
